Apple Tress for sale for CHASE

April 15, 2016 by CHASE

Berry Bush & Apple Nurseries in Carrigaline stock a wide variety of Apple trees, some Irish heritage varieties, some old English varieties, with final sizes (depending on rootstock) ranging from 1.5 metres (great for small children!) to about 3-4 metres. They should begin to fruit in about 2 years (the smaller ones) to about 5 years (the bigger ones).

Ten apple tress are being sold for CHASE on a first come first served basis.

COST: €25 each, all money to CHASE

e-mail: berrybushapple(at)hotmail.com for a list of varieties available.

They have also added that if anyone has very old apple (or other fruit) trees in the family (e.g. an old farm orchard) they would be very interested to know, and can can help to identify and preserve them. Especially if they’re fallen or nearly dead!
